Day 3 (07 February, Saturday)

We had American breakfast, which cost us 190B/person. Nice!

Elephant Rides

We started our journey early in the morning for our 1st activity of the day – Elephant rides!!

The place is quite far from Patong and the road was long and winding. The journey took us around 2 hours with driver driving at an average speed of 130km/hr.

It was very interesting and rather exciting sitting on top of the elephant with the locals guiding the elephants thru the trails of the jungle.

Had a great time feeding bananas to the elephants

Next was the ATV rides!

We were given a short briefing on how to operate the ATV. It is operated in a semi-auto mode.

The guide led us thru trails across bridges and river as well! Very dusty and dirty but super exciting!

Lunch was provided after the rides.

After a short break, we were taken to a waterfall with icy water for shower! The view of it was not very spectacular tho and it was crowded!

Rafting Discovery

Reached “Rafting Discovery”

We were given a short briefing before our rides, only to realized the next moment we were already sitting in the rafts ready for the staffs to open the gates for the water to flow out.

The rafting was not as excited as I expected because the flow through the river was not intense enough and we often found ourselves stucked between other rafts because it was just too crowded!

Monkey Temple

Next, we are headed to the monkey temple to check out some monkeys. The place was very smelly!

Back to our rooms!

We cleaned ourselves up after all the adventures, we rented a car for 1300B/day for us to explore the wonders of Phuket town and other beaches such as Karon Beach, Kata Beach and Chalong Bay.

Local Clubbing

We went to a local disco located at Phuket town to have a taste of local clubbing scene.

The crowd was really great and the band was also very interesting. We opened a black label, which cost us 1000B. But the mixers are expensive! (Forgotten about the price).

I ended up a bit drunk. And we lost our way back to our guesthouse. We managed to ask a local for road directions and got back swiftly.
